The 116th Canton Fair was held in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, and our company sent staff to participate. This year’s Canton Fair is held in the context of low-speed growth of global trade, intensifying competition in the international market, and still severe trade frictions. Overall, the number of buyers of the Canton Fair has slightly decreased compared with the previous session, and the number of merchants in major exporting countries and regions such as Europe and the Americas has decreased significantly. At the same time, the number of African customers of the fair has also decreased significantly due to the impact of the Ebola epidemic. Old merchants accounted for a large proportion, and the demand of buyers in emerging market countries also declined slightly. Many buyers are to understand the product and inquiry, the real spot orders are less, and most of them are short orders.
At the Canton Fair, the company brought newly developed bearing parts to the exhibition and received good attention. During the Canton Fair, the company received more than 140 merchants from nearly 40 countries and regions, and reached an intended transaction contract amount of about 6 million US dollars, which is affected by factors such as sluggish external demand, increased foreign exchange risk, and intensified industry competition. Although the fair has one more booth than the previous one, the intended transaction amount is about the same as the previous one. Mechanical and electrical products, steel products are still the main body of the transaction, respectively, $2.4 million and $1.9 million, textile and household goods intended transaction amount is about $900,000, other categories are $800,000. Exports to Asia, the United States and Europe accounted for 32%, 26% and 16% of the total turnover, respectively.
