On March 25th, the Party Theory Learning Center Group of the Provincial Foreign Trade Assets Company conducted a thematic study on “Cultivating New Forms of Productivity and Activating New Momentum for Development.” Members of the company’s leadership team and heads of relevant departments participated in the learning session.
The meeting focused on studying the important speech spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping on new forms of productivity and the relevant requirements of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference on developing new forms of productivity and deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises. Members of the company’s leadership team shared their learning experiences based on their work practices and conducted in-depth discussions on the company’s efforts to cultivate and develop new forms of productivity, proposing work ideas and suggestions.
In his concluding speech, Li Yumin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Chairman, and General Manager of the company, pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on developing new forms of productivity profoundly answers significant theoretical and practical questions such as what new forms of productivity are, why we need to develop them, and how to do so. This further develops the Marxist theory of productivity and provides scientific guidance for promoting high-quality development on the new journey.
Li Yumin emphasized that all party members and cadres within the company system must profoundly understand the rich connotation, significant meaning, and practical requirements of developing new forms of productivity. They must more consciously align their thoughts and actions with the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the provincial government’s work requirements, and enhance the sense of responsibility, mission, and urgency in cultivating and developing new forms of productivity. Firstly, we need to emancipate our minds, broaden our horizons, and embed our services into global industrial and supply chains by leveraging a series of comprehensive foreign trade service platforms we have established. We should strive to enhance the level of trade digitization, promote trade entities to form cost advantages in market competition, and thereby achieve mutual promotion and a virtuous cycle between profit growth and the development of new forms of productivity. Secondly, we should promote the development of overseas warehouse services, guide overseas warehouses to enhance their service capabilities and logistics competitiveness, improve fulfillment timeliness, and explore the establishment of an intelligent integrated service platform for overseas warehouses. Thirdly, manufacturing enterprises should continuously strengthen research and development investment, strengthen the transformation of innovative achievements, and further enhance the market competitiveness of their products. Fourthly, we should strengthen the cultivation and nurturing of innovative talents, fully stimulate their innovative and creative vitality, deepen talent development in key areas, improve talent selection and cultivation mechanisms, attach great importance to young talents, organize and carry out cross-border e-commerce training, and effectively enhance the cultivation and service capabilities of e-commerce professionals, injecting talent momentum into the development of new forms of productivity. Finally, we should solidly promote the deepening and upgrading of state-owned enterprise reform, integrate various reform tasks, link the development of new forms of productivity with enhancing core functions and improving core competitiveness, continuously seek vitality, momentum, and benefits from reform, and continuously stimulate new momentum for enterprise innovation and development.
