On October 29, 2024, the Second Session, Third Council Meeting of the Hebei Provincial Cross-border E-commerce Association was successfully held at the Pangu Cross-border E-commerce Park in the Free Trade Zone of Zhengding. The event brought together association president Zhang Yuanzhen, vice presidents, and council members to delve into new trends, challenges, and opportunities within the industry. The meeting was hosted by Vice President Yang Jianzhuo.
The meeting kicked off in a lively atmosphere. Secretary-General Zhou Jianhua presented a report on the major work conducted in the first three quarters of 2024 and the primary work arrangements for the fourth quarter. Throughout the year, the association has organized numerous enterprise training sessions, exchanges with cross-border enterprises in other provinces, invited platform experts to conduct on-site consultations for enterprises, organized e-commerce forums, and accomplished much with tangible results.
During the presentation and discussion sessions, participants exchanged ideas on cross-border models such as overseas warehouses, integrated service platforms, and overseas exhibitions. The presentations, rich in content and featuring novel viewpoints, resonated strongly with attendees. In the interactive segment, council members actively spoke up, conducting in-depth analyses and discussions on industry hotspots and offering valuable suggestions for the association’s development.
In his concluding speech, President Zhang Yuanzhen first extended congratulations to the newly joined council units and thanked all council members for their continued support of the association’s work. He noted that the establishment of the cross-border e-commerce association, led by Hebei Foreign Trade Assets Management Co., Ltd., was a wise decision. Leveraging the resource advantages of state-owned enterprises, the association has served as a bridge and tie between enterprises and the government, promoting common industry development. Currently, China’s cross-border e-commerce industry is growing rapidly and has emerged as a new format in the foreign trade sector, with immense development potential. He emphasized that to excel in the cross-border e-commerce industry, proactive innovation is essential, particularly in product selection, technology, management, and supply chains, which should be integrated with the real economy. As a non-profit social organization, the association’s primary function is to serve its members and promote the healthy development of Hebei’s cross-border industry. In this new historical period, the association will continue to strengthen its self-construction, enhance service levels, actively solicit opinions and suggestions from all quarters, better fulfill its role as a bridge and tie, further strengthen communication and cooperation with government departments, enterprises, and all sectors of society, create more resource value for member units, and support the high-quality development of Hebei’s cross-border e-commerce industry.
The successful hosting of this council meeting infused new vitality into the association’s development. Council units unanimously agreed that the timing of this meeting was opportune and that they gained much through exchanges and discussions, broadening their horizons and clarifying directions. We believe that with the concerted efforts of all members, the association will play an even more active and crucial role in driving industry development, fostering business model innovation, strengthening talent cultivation, and promoting Hebei’s economic development and high-level opening up.
It’s worth mentioning that even traditional products like iron manhole covers can benefit from the development of cross-border e-commerce. With the increasing demand for urban infrastructure worldwide, iron manhole covers, which are crucial components of urban drainage systems, have vast export potential. Through cross-border e-commerce platforms, Hebei’s manufacturing enterprises can directly reach global buyers, showcasing their high-quality iron manhole covers and expanding international markets. This not only promotes the export of Hebei’s products but also enhances the international competitiveness of local enterprises.
In summary, the Second Session, Third Council Meeting of the Hebei Provincial Cross-border E-commerce Association was a resounding success, setting the stage for further advancements in the industry. With continuous innovation and expanded global reach, even traditional products like iron manhole covers can become key players in the international market, driving Hebei’s economic growth and opening up new horizons for the province.
